A structured overview of my end-to-end web design workflow, starting with a free consultation through asset collection, development, optimisation, launch, and client training. The initial meeting gives me an opportunity to learn about your business & the scope of your website project so that I can get a good grasp of your business needs. Please allow 40 min to 1 hour, a phone or Zoom meeting can be arranged if you can't meet in person. I can also assist with domain registration and hosting.
Using the information gathered from our intitial meeting, it is time to put together a plan for your web site. This is when your page structure is developed. Typically this would include home page, about, service pages and other pages as required, please see my article on common website pages you need.
You will need to provide me with any images, existing logo and of course most importantly your text content. Dropbox or Google Drive are great ways to get your content to me, particularly images, as they support large file uploads.
I prefer to move into the web browser as quickly as possible, this means I delve right into the coding of your site. Based on your requirements, I start working on content layout, styling, navigation & other custom functions. The framework I use allows me to do this very efficiently.
Upon website completion it will be uploaded to your web host where it can be accessed under your domain name. Optimisation of your website pages is actually done from beginning to end. SEO techniques are built into every website I build to help boost your sites visibility in Google search. If you have chosen to have off-page SEO work (backlink campaign), then this will begin after website launch.
In a one hour tutorial I will show you how to edit your website, written step-by-step tutorials are also included. The Content Management System allows you to edit your website easily from most web browsers. Final adjustments will be made to ensure your website works as expected on mobile devices and different browsers.
