Website Design Project for JMA Psychology Canberra
Jacqui was a particularly special client, as she was the very first customer to hire me for my web design services. When she initially reached out, Jacqui was seeking to completely overhaul the outdated, clunky website for her psychology practice, JMA Psychology Canberra. As an established psychologist in the local community, Jacqui was eager to create a more user-friendly and visually appealing online presence that would effectively convey her warm, compassionate approach to her work.
She wanted a website that would instantly put new and existing patients at ease, reflecting her genuine care and commitment to helping people work through their mental health challenges. Through our collaborative design process, I was able to develop a clean, modern layout with soothing colors and imagery that radiated Jacqui's friendly, approachable personality. The end result was a website that not only looked professional and visually striking, but also authentically captured Jacqui's values as a psychologist - from her emphasis on personalized, empathetic care to her holistic, multi-faceted approach to supporting her clients' overall wellbeing.
Jacqui was thrilled with the final product, as it enabled her to more effectively connect with her target audience and showcase the unique qualities that set her psychology practice apart. The subtle, muted color palette I selected was intentionally chosen to convey a sense of safety and comfort, inviting potential patients to feel at ease as they explore this online portal.
Beyond the visual aesthetics, I also strategically incorporated a blog feature, enabling Jacqui to share insightful industry articles and resources with her clients. This not only positions her as an authority in the field, but also gives visitors a reason to return to the site regularly. Lastly, I placed prominent call-to-action buttons throughout, making it effortless for users to connect with Jacqui's practice, whether that's booking an appointment, downloading helpful guides, or accessing other valuable services. The end result is a cohesive, user-friendly website that beautifully aligns with Jacqui's therapeutic philosophy and provides a welcoming, informative online experience for her patients.
